Cricket South Africa confirms venues for the 2027 50-over World Cup. Here’s everything you need to know.
Venues Confirmed for 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed the venues for the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will be hosted across South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. The 50-over tournament will take place in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, East London, and Paarl, with South Africa hosting 44 matches and Namibia and Zimbabwe hosting 10 matches collectively.
The announcement also marked the formation of the Local Organising Committee Board (LOCA), led by former South African cabinet minister Trevor Manuel as Independent Chairman. CSA Board Chairperson Pearl Maphoshe said, “CSA’s vision is to stage a global, inspiring event which will reflect the face of South Africa—diverse, inclusive, and united. The tournament will be vibrantly different in its style and atmosphere, and its experiences. It will provide players, fans and partners with the most unique, unforgettable experience.”
The 2027 ODI World Cup, the 14th edition of the tournament, is scheduled for October and November 2027. This will be the second time South Africa and Zimbabwe have co-hosted the event since 2003, while Namibia will host for the first time.
Format of the 2027 World Cup

As hosts, South Africa and Zimbabwe have automatically qualified, while the top eight teams in the ICC ODI rankings as of 31 March 2027 will also secure their spots. Namibia, despite co-hosting for the first time, is not guaranteed participation as they are not a full ICC member and must go through the standard qualification pathway.
Australia enter the tournament as defending champions, having defeated India in the 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
