This marks Chahal’s second hat-trick in the IPL, the first being against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2022 while playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR). With his brilliant bowling, Chahal not only claimed a hat-trick but also prevented the Super Kings from surpassing the 200-run mark.
The hosts were bowled out for 190 runs, with four deliveries remaining. Chahal finished with impressive figures, taking four wickets in three overs and conceding just 32 runs.
Additionally, Chahal has now become the joint-leading wicket-taker for his team in the ongoing IPL 2025, following his four-wicket haul in the CSK vs PBKS match. He has taken 13 wickets in 10 matches, leveling with his teammate Arshdeep Singh, with both having 13 wickets across nine innings.
