Asked about their ability to extend international careers into another World Cup cycle, Ian Bishop said, “That’s their decision. I can’t answer that for Rohit or Virat or for the BCCI. It depends on what their determination and skill are like. They’ve been fine so far.”
Both players were named in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming Australia tour, marking their return to international cricket since winning the Champions Trophy earlier this year. At 40 and 39 respectively by 2027, Rohit and Kohli continue to maintain top fitness levels and remain integral to India’s white-ball plans, though their long-term availability is still a topic of discussion.
