Batting first, Ganguly blasted the South African bowlers, scoring an unbeaten 141 runs off 142 balls, including 11 fours and 6 sixes. He built a solid 145-run partnership with Rahul Dravid for the second wicket, helping India set a total of 295 runs.
India won the match by 95 runs, and Ganguly was named Player of the Match for his stellar knock.
4. Andy Flower – 145 vs India, Colombo, 2002

Zimbabwe’s legendary wicketkeeper-batsman, Andy Flower, played an outstanding innings of 145 against India in the 2002 Champions Trophy in Colombo.
Flower’s brilliant knock came during Zimbabwe’s chase of 289 runs in the second innings. He scored 145 off 164 balls, including 13 boundaries.
Despite Flower’s heroic effort, Zimbabwe lost by 14 runs. India’s Mohammad Kaif was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 111 in the first innings.
3. Nathan Astle – 145 vs USA, The Oval, 2004*

New Zealand’s Nathan Astle played a match-winning knock of 145* against the USA at The Oval in 2004.
Opening the innings, Astle smashed 145 runs off 151 balls, including 13 fours and 6 sixes. His 143-run partnership with Scott Styris for the second wicket set the stage for New Zealand’s victory.
New Zealand won the match by 210 runs, with Astle’s knock playing a key role.
2. Ben Duckett – 165 vs Australia, Lahore, 2025

England’s opener, Ben Duckett, holds the record for the second-highest individual score in ICC Champions Trophy history, with an impressive 165 against Australia in Lahore during the 2025 tournament.
Batting first, Duckett powered his way to 165 runs off 143 balls, hitting 17 fours and 3 sixes. His knock accounted for nearly half of England’s total score of 351.
Australia, however, chased down the total to achieve the highest successful run-chase in the history of the competition.

Ibrahim Zadran made history with the highest individual score in ICC Champions Trophy history, scoring a monumental 177 against England in a Group B match in Lahore during the 2025 edition.
Zadran’s innings was also the highest score by an Afghanistan batsman in ODI history. Despite a rough start, where Afghanistan was reduced to 37/3, Zadran guided the recovery with 103 and 111-run partnerships with Hashmatullah Shahidi and Mohammad Nabi, leading Afghanistan to a total of 325/7.
