The Cricket Australia Awards 2025 took place at Melbourne’s Crown Casino on Monday, February 3, celebrating the top performers in Australian cricket over the past year.
Despite not securing any ICC titles in 2024, the Australian men’s team achieved key milestones, reclaiming the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after a decade and winning a Test series in New Zealand. The women’s team dominated with a 3-0 ODI series whitewash against India in India and capped the year with a commanding Ashes whitewash over England.
In domestic cricket, Western Australia extended their dominance by winning both the Sheffield Shield and the Marsh Cup in the 2023-24 season. The Hobart Hurricanes lifted the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 title, while the Melbourne Renegades triumphed in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2024-25.
Australia also witnessed the rise of promising young talents. Sam Konstas impressed on his Test debut against India at the MCG, Cooper Connolly shone in the domestic circuit, and Georgia Voll emerged as a standout player in women’s cricket.
